ZenhCare Help Center

Welcome to the guide for the people who run a hospital on ZenhCare — patient records, the OPD queue, inpatient beds, lab and pharmacy, operating theatres, billing, and your workforce, all in one place. It's written for the people who use it every day: the hospital administrator first, and then each staff role.

You don't have to read it end to end — jump to the module you're working in from the sidebar. But three ideas run through everything, so they're worth a moment first.

1. One admin, until you add your team

A brand-new hospital has one login — the hospital administrator — and that single account can do everything: register patients, run OPD, admit to IPD, order labs, dispense medicine, raise invoices, and take payments.

One account until you add your team

Separate logins for nurses, receptionists, lab technicians, pharmacists, and accountants are created and managed in the HRM module (part of the Enterprise plan). Until you add those staff accounts, the admin does everything. See Roles at a glance.

2. Two kinds of patient

Every clinical screen works with two patient types, and the app shows a small badge so you can always tell them apart:

  • Platform patient — has an account and can log in on the mobile app. ID looks like PAT_….
  • Hospital patient — a walk-in you register at the desk. No login, ID looks like HPAT_….

You can prescribe, order labs, admit, and invoice for either. Patients, explained covers this in full.

3. Your plan decides which modules you see

Core clinical work (patients, OPD, appointments, billing) is on every plan. Lab, Pharmacy, OT, IPD, Administration, Finance, HRM, and Analytics are unlocked by your hospital's subscription plan — Starter, Growth, or Enterprise. Telemedicine is the one separate add-on. If a menu you expect is missing, it's almost always a module your plan doesn't include (or your role's permission). See Plans & modules.
