Plans & modules
ZenhCare is modular, and which modules your hospital can use is set by its subscription plan — Starter, Growth, or Enterprise. Higher plans unlock more modules. Only one feature, Telemedicine, sits outside the plans — it's a separate add-on you can buy on top of any plan.
What each plan includes
| Module | Starter | Growth | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clinical — patients, doctors, appointments, OPD, prescriptions | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Support — help desk & tickets | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Lab — orders, samples, results, reports | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Pharmacy — catalogue, stock, purchasing, dispensing | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| OT — operating-theatre rooms & scheduling | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| IPD — wards, beds, inpatient bills, discharge | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Administration — org settings, compliance, branding | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Finance — expenses, payouts, P&L, claims, assets | — | — | ✓ |
| HRM — staff logins, roles, shifts, attendance, payroll | — | — | ✓ |
| Analytics — cross-module dashboards & reports | — | — | ✓ |
| Telemedicine — online consultations | add-on | add-on | add-on |
In short: Starter is core clinical work plus support; Growth adds the lab, pharmacy, OT, IPD and administration; Enterprise adds finance, HRM and analytics — every core module. These are plan tiers, not à-la-carte purchases — you move up a plan to unlock more.
Always on, every plan
Two things never depend on your plan:
- Invoicing. Every billable action raises an invoice you can collect against from the inline invoice chip — even on Starter, with no Finance module. The Finance module adds the back-office machinery (expenses, payouts, P&L); it doesn't own collecting a bill. See Billing.
- Support. The help desk ships with every plan.
How gating shows up
If your plan doesn't include a module, you simply don't see it:
- On the Module Hub (a hospital administrator's landing screen), a module your plan doesn't include shows a Locked badge and "Upgrade to access" instead of opening.
- Inside a module, a feature your plan doesn't include just isn't in the sidebar. So if a colleague's screen has an IPD or Pharmacy menu and yours doesn't, their hospital is on a plan that includes it and yours isn't — nothing is broken.
The two reasons a menu item is missing
Either your plan doesn't include that module (this page), or your role lacks the permission (Roles). If a whole module (e.g. Finance, IPD) is absent it's usually the plan; if it's one action inside a module you can otherwise see, it's usually the role.
Telemedicine — the one add-on
Everything else is bundled into a plan; Telemedicine is the exception. It's an add-on bought separately from the Marketplace (the store link in the Module Hub header), and it's available to a hospital or an independent private doctor. It unlocks online video consultations. See For doctors → Telemedicine.
Upgrading & the Marketplace
Your available modules are set by your hospital's subscription plan, managed with ZenhCare. To switch a module on, your hospital moves up a plan (Starter → Growth → Enterprise); to add Telemedicine, an administrator buys it from the Marketplace. Both are administrator + subscription decisions — if you need something switched on, ask your hospital administrator.
A note on HRM
HRM (an Enterprise module) is the one that turns a single-admin hospital into a team: it's where individual staff logins, roles, shifts, attendance and payroll are managed. Everything about who-can-do-what starts there — see Roles and Workforce.
